The Oman International Rally rejoins The FIA Middle East Rally Championship (Merc).
The last time this event was part of the calendar was in 2015.

Rally teams will compete in Oman at the event's new date of Thursday 6th to Sunday 8th February. The teams will then travel to Qatar, Lebanon and Jordan before the championship wraps up in Cyprus in October. 

The event will feature different categories; Merc1, Merc 2, Merc 3 and Merc Junior Championship for drivers. Teams will tackle a short special stage (15.45 hrs) after the start (15.00 hrs) at the headquarters of the OAA on Thursday 6th February and two further legs of six stages on Friday 7th February and the final day Saturday 8th February.

There will be 201 competitive kilometres in a compact route of 532.40 km all sharing the beautiful views of Oman.
