The event has faced a lot of backlash online with people saying it was a waste of money and energy.
Fast food brand Wendy’s poked fun at the trip with them commenting on a photo of Katy “Can we send her back”.

Kesha and Katy Perry are famously currently in a feud, following Katy's work with Producer Dr Luke.
There have been multiple court cases filed against Dr Luke by Kesha, who accused the producer of abuse, leading to her releasing music independently after being trapped in a contract with him and her previous record label.
So, what does all of this have to do with Katy Perry’s space expedition?
