Serena Williams reveals why she featured in the Super Bowl!

Read her statement here!

There is a lot of speculation online regarding Serena Williams' featuring in Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Kendrick's hit song 'Not Like Us' is a diss track about Drake, therefore when Serena and SZA, who famously both dated Drake joined the performance, it got a lot of people talking.

However, Serena's husband Alexis Ohanian has cleared up the rumours explaining that this was an opportunity for his wife to dance publicly after receiving complaints about her dancing in the London 2012 Olympics.

Serena has also released a statement, explaining how her performance came about.

“When @kendricklamar and team called and was like ‘we’ve been trying to do something forever, what about this? We loved your crip walk at the Olympics after you won the gold medal.’

I’m like Super Bowl? Are you serious? When in the world would I ever be able to dance at a superbowl? (Never) let’s do it!

I knew my winning dance after the @olympics would pay off one day.

End of story.”
