If you're heading to Dhofar in Oman this summer you should read this!
If you're heading to Salalah to embrace the greenery during the Khareef season here are some things you should know.
1. Beware of bugs
You will need mosquito repellent on you, to stop you from becoming a bug's next meal.
2. Wear waterproof clothing
You may experience thunder, lightning, and rain so to make the most of the glorious weather, carry a waterproof jacket.
3. Be prepared for traffic
It's very busy right now so if you have children maybe bring snacks or games to keep the kids busy while you're driving.
4. Carry cash
There aren't many ATMs and there are lots of stalls on the streets so it's best to carry cash rather than rely on using a debit card.
5. Pack your hiking boots
If you are planning on hiking to see the best views of Salalah, wear shoes with good grip as the floor is wet and can be very slippery.
Most importantly if you're going to Salalah have fun and listen to Hi FM on 95.9 on your road trip!
