Nakhal – South Batinah Municipality organised a walk last weekend under the slogan ‘Your Steps are Blessed’ in collaboration with Nakhal Club and Royal Oman Police. The event saw participation of all age groups reflecting strong community engagement.
The 6km walk began at Ramadan Village and concluded at Nakhal Club, with families, fitness enthusiasts and local officials taking part. Participants showed enthusiasm and determination throughout the route.
At the finish line, cultural and recreational activities were organised, including quizzes, interactive games and traditional performances. Winners of competitions received prizes, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The initiative aimed to strengthen community bonds, encourage physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle, particularly during Ramadan. Officials emphasised the importance of such events in fostering social cohesion and supporting Oman’s broader health and wellness goals.
At the event, representatives of South Batinah Municipality highlighted their commitment to encouraging an active lifestyle and organising similar initiatives in the future. Participants welcomed the event, praising its role in promoting both fitness and community spirit.
