Muscat – H H Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, will represent Oman at the opening ceremony of the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup Football Championship in Kuwait. The event will commence later today at Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Meshal al Ahmad al Jaber al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait

As part of the prestigious ceremony, His Highness Sayyid Theyazin will also attend the tournament’s opening match, featuring Oman’s national team against the host nation, Kuwait. The match will take place in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sabah al Khalid al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait.

The championship, a celebrated regional sporting event, brings together football teams from across the Arabian Gulf to compete for glory, fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship among the participating nations.

Oman’s national team enters the competition with high hopes, looking to build on its strong football legacy and aiming for a stellar performance in this edition of the Gulf Cup.
