Muscat – In collaboration with several government bodies, Royal Oman Police will host a dialogue session on adventure tourism and mountain climbing at the ROP Dakhliyah Headquarters on Thursday. The session will be held under the patronage of H E Azzan Qassim al Busaidi, Undersecretary for Tourism in the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism.
According to a statement issued by ROP, the event will bring together representatives from a wide range of organisations, including Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority, Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, the Department of Environment in Dakhliyah, and Directorate General of Public Prosecution.
The session will focus on discussing the regulatory framework and safety requirements surrounding adventure tourism and mountain climbing in Oman. It aims to raise awareness on potential risks involved in these popular activities, as well as promote best practices for safety and responsible tourism.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance adventure tourism while ensuring the safety and well-being of participants.
